Two clubbers die after taking MDMA at Alexander Palace event

Kids listen up.

Police are issuing an urgent appeal for clubbers to seek medical attention following the unexplained deaths of two men who had attended events this weekend at Alexandra Palace, N10.

The men, aged 20 and 21, were admitted to a north London hospital this morning. The 21-year-old was pronounced dead at 00.30hrs, the 20-year-old at 07.29hrs. A third man, aged 20  remains in hospital in a serious but stable condition.

The  21 yr old man is thought to have attended an all-night event on Friday into Saturday. The two 20 yr olds are believed to have gone to a separate event at the same venue on Saturday into Sunday.

The cause of the deaths and injury is yet to be established, however a line of enquiry is that the men may have taken illegal substances, possibly MDMA.

Officers are now recommending that anybody who attended either of the events, and who took substances they may now be concerned about, seeks medical attention at the earliest opportunity.

Detective Inspector Rita Tierney said: “Although it is too early to say what caused these men’s health to deteriorate, we are investigating the possibility that illegal drugs may have been involved.

“If you have taken what you believed to be MDMA, or any other substance, during this weekend’s events at Alexandra Palace, and are now feeling unwell, I would strongly urge you to attend your nearest hospital as soon as possible.”
